Disney Daily Dose is the product of years of enjoying all things Disney. I wouldn’t consider myself the typical Disney fan. Despite the fact I am a child of the 80’s, I can assure you it wasn’t my love for Star Wars or Marvel (which I do love both) that started my affinity for the House of Mouse.

As a matter of fact, I had not seen too many Disney movies prior to my freshman year of college. My family just did not lean that way. No, my love for Disney began when I married my lovely wife of now 21 years.

It was my every intention to spend our honeymoon at Atlantis on Paradise Island. I always saw myself as somewhat of a beachhead. Fun in the sun. However, an active hurricane season had worried us. Plan two was Disney World. Neither of us had ever been. So, why not?

November 21, 1999, I step into Magic Kingdom for the first time. The part that sent me right over the top was going to bed the Wednesday before Thanksgiving in regular Disney World, and waking up the next day to a Disney full of Christmas carols and Mickey and the gang dressed for the occasion. (Christmas is also a huge love of mine. Shameless plug for Yuletide Cheer inserted here).

From that point on I have loved it, and it is not just the park. The movies, books, television shows, memorabilia, fans, characters, the list just goes on and on. I have spent the next 21 years absorbing everything I can about Disney.

When perusing the internet, I realized that I had to get my Disney Studio information from one place. Park information was mined somewhere else, and Star Wars and Marvel sent me somewhere else. As I thought about it, I realized that Disney has news and information flowing basically everyday. Why not put it all in one place with my own spin. Disney Daily Dose is a product of that.

What can you expect?  Obviously, we’ll do what we can to get you to all the Disney news you long for. We will also have some fun along the way. I love competition so why not use all the past properties to decide what your favorite Disney music, television shows, movies, and about anything else we can think of are? I want to also bring the Disney community together. I know that is not a hard task, but it is my goal to develop a space where fans from one area can share experiences with fans in other areas. Plans are big, and we will drop other ideas of what to expect soon. In the meantime, feel free to drop me any ideas you might have to make Disney Daily Dose a better place to be.
